I am just so glad that we only have to wait less than 24 hours for the next two hours. The previews look like the next twp eps will be jam-packed with action, just the way we like it. * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * I already hate Erin, and I mean that in a good way. Alberta certainly kicked a$$, and it was great to see her and Jack at such odds. I wonder how that professional relationship is going to play out since she's so by the books, and Jack so obviously is not. Although it's interesting to have nearly the whole cast gone, I'm glad there's at least one familiar face and it's Chloe. Having someone he trusts back at CTU will certainly be a help to Jack, especially since it seems like there is another mole back at CTU leaking intel about the Secretary of Defense's schedule and Andrew Paige. She has Maddy's intimidating manner, but she can't think three-dimensionally, which is a dangerous combo. I'm not worried about Jack shooting her, but someone else might before this is over. I missed Dennis Haysbert. I adore William Devane, who has been type cast. He's played a few politicians over the years. I loved it when Heller threw his tie at that guy.

Then again, at least we got to see Dennis Haysbert during the commercial breaks. The betrothed cracked me up when he said someone tuning in late might have wondered why the president was standing in the middle of the street. Seriously though, I do wonder how this new president will fair. I'm not too confident that he's on the up and up. Heller is definitely a gutsy guy, although I had to wonder about him being so acerbic back to those holding him and Audrey hostage. He told her to do everything the baddies tell her to, but he's doing the opposite. Maybe it's his way of letting them know he won't back down without a fight. Hopefully, though, they don't decide to use Audrey as the bargaining chip. From the chatter going on, it seems like both the train bomb and Heller's kidnapping are more diversions than anything. Posts: 0 (01/10/05 15:16:46) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Fabulous premiere! I just can't believe that Cochran, Surnow, Loceff, Cassar, Callery, et al. keep pulling this off so beautifully. "24" is simply the most thrilling program on television...and this is despite the incredibly restrictive parameters of the story (one day only, set in L.A., limited selection of "apocalyptic" scenarios, and so on). And boy was it great to see Alberta Watson doing her thing. That steely gaze! Whoa! Loved that Chloe O'Brien was back, too! Can't wait to see what's coming tonight! It's no dream. We'll make it work.~Michael

I am loving this season. * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * Am I the only one who thinks the actor playing Hassan is pretty fine? I know he's a baddie but I'm still intrigued. In any case, Jack is really off the wall, but Erin is really the opposite. Kiefer and Alberta are certainly playing quite well off each other. I wonder how far it's going to go. After all, unfortunately for Erin, Jack always does seem to be right even if his methods aren't by the book. Now that Chloe's out of commission, though, do you think Edgar will somehow pick up the slack? Or perhaps the newbie on the block was sent in to somehow help the situation. Hmmm ... Can you believe that Mrs. Araz poisoned Debbie? Having four eps right off the bat sure did spoil us, but at least we know we have an episode to look forward to each week until the end of the season instead of a multitude of interruptions throughout the season which we got in prior years. Nester Serrano plays Mr. Araz. He may be old-fashioned like Audrey says, but if tonight was anything to go by, I think he'd eventually accept Jack into the family (providing Heller survives). Those two strike me as kindred spirits. Now, for a nitpick -- I realize they need a way to fill 24 eps., but I really hate intra-agency turmoil. I hated on LFN, and I hate it on 24. I don't watch the show for that.

Is it just me, or does it look like she was demoted in the wake of Tony's sudden departure. It would certainly explain why she uses her power the way she does; she's compensating for the loss of status. Also note that Erin worked in the CTU Finance Department for a while, which also explains a few things: www.fox.com/24/profiles/

I agree with you NJ I dont know what Heller is thinking he is doing the opposite of what he is telling Audrey. Maybe if he plays the aggressor they will leave her alone? Not likely. The faking a heart attack was a bit lame to me; I knew they were never going to get out the place to many hostiles. Jack pretending to rob the store was good. I thought he was going to shot the tire too Sage but I was wrong. Glad to see that Chloe is back even thought she is under arrest right now. She sure is smart and knew that Erin was watching her. I dont like Erins little pet what is her name? She seems to want to please Erin but I think Erin could care less and is using her. i.e. Getting the cops to not take her daughter in. I knew that poor Debbie was going to be poisoned. I was wondering why no one else was drinking their tea. Mrs. Araz seems like an evil woman. Well I think AW is doing a fabulous job so far. I laughed out loud when Erin said Section One. I know that they did that on purpose and could have used a variety of different lingo, but they knew we would get a kick out of her saying it. Well everyone I hope you all have a good week and am looking forward to your comments this season. -Oplvl3

Heller also looked like he certainly earned his position as Secretary of Defense after being out in the field himself. Division has often sent others in to take over CTU when there were problems. Remember Alberta Green (ironically named for the real Alberta), George Mason and Ryan Chapelle. I get shades of Maddy/LFN with "Section One" reference and interrogating Richard Heller. The only thing missing was the white room. Erin sees Jack as a rogue agent but he's right on the money. That antagonism could be Erin's undoing if she doesn't let Jack do what he does best. What about Erin's personal problems? Hmmmm, how will that interfere? I wonder what the new girl, forgot her name, is up to. She's quite ambitious but what's her agenda? Poor Behrooz! He has a pair of diabolical parents. I found myself saying, "shoot your Mom, no great loss" I can see Behrooz getting himself killed by his own parents. I kinda liked the two hour ep thing. Too bad we can't have that every week. R
