And even though it's allegedly supposed to be back up by sometime tonight, I'm not trusting the cable company to get me up and running in time for the designated discussion time. Considering how the SES thread hasn't moved yet, I don't know how many of you are looking to discuss this one yet, but I figured it's better to have the thread here just in case. Posts: 0 (09/17/05 11:34:22) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	What sticks out the most for me in this ep, is how clumsy Adam must have thought his dad and Nikita were at the dinner table! Nikita "drops" her spoon, and Michael, in Adam's eyes, nearly knocks over the candle spilling Elana's wine, THEN blames it on Adam! The ending here is terribly sad. But I'm glad the charade is over and Elana and Adam can go on. But....Poor Michael. "It took me four days to find Nikita. That leaves eleven" We want you at The Briefing Room's LFN S2 DVD discussions

His desperation reminded me of Yves from "Being at Home With Claude" and it was just SOOOO un-Michael-like that it was great! I don't think he was entirely acting for Vacek's benefit in that scene. I think Michael was REALLY desperate to get back to the hospital and to Elena...and it just happened to work into the mission profile and to his advantage! He was REALLY scared for her life, which was understandable given Madeline's and Operations' lack of compassion! GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! I have command. NIKITA: "You're going to kill me?" MICHAEL: "No. I'll shoot you in the leg and carry you back. But, it'll be easier for both of us if you can walk." "In life there is always some evil, some good. Posts: 0 (09/18/05 05:23:10) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	elevendaze -- I think he "loved" her in the sense that he spent seven years of his life with a caring, compassionate woman who loved him, was a good wife to him and gave him a beautiful son. I'm sure he also felt guilty because she didn't deserve the betrayals he had been perpetuating against her all along the way...not to mention the ULTIMATE betrayal to come. But, no, I've never believed Michael was "in love" with her. In fact, I HATED that he used the eyebrow caress on her when he came home and found her on the couch! While I understood that it was a sweet gesture of concern for her, I thought that it took away from the genuineness (is that a word? ) of the act whenever he did it to Nikita and put it into the "Valentine Op action" category! If there had been surveillance in the house or if Nikita had seen that move, I'm sure she would NOT have been happy! GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! I have command. NIKITA: "You're going to kill me?" Posts: 0 (09/19/05 17:28:02) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	I remember the dinner in this ep., mostly some comment by Elena about Nikita needing to find a boyfriend. Whoops! About the only thing that took me by suprise in this ep., was that Nikita had to TELL Micheal to call Walter for an antidote to give Elena.( I guess they both would have worried about the consequences to the mission later) This was definitive for me in showing the difference between Micheal's relationships with Simone, Elena and Nikita. I remember with Simone, without even considering the consequences of bringing her back in, Micheal went on autopilot to try to save her, and we've seen him do the same thing with Nikita. In Last Night, he tells Birkoff to find Nikita even while their in the middle of something hitting the fan. In either case, Micheal's reactions were automatic. Go save Simone, go save Nikita. No one had to tell him anything. As much as he cared for Elena, I still saw the conflict between him completing his mission and not letting his child's mother die.

My guess is that it was because he'd invested seven years of his life in this mission, which was quite different than any "normal" mission that lasted only a couple of hours. If someone was '' a big part'' of my husband's life, I don't know if I would let her in the house... especially when it's so obvious that N loves M ( the awkwardness, the eyes ) and especially since N is a beautiful woman I know, I know, they're supposed to be ''cousins'' but they certainly don't look a lot alike IMHO. Anyway I would be suspicious of N if I were Elena I love the dinner scene tho. M and Adam are so cute I don't know what it is about a man loving his kid that makes me hot Just makes me love M even more ---------------------------- M- If it wasn't for the Section, none of us would have a life... ...Well, I know I wouldn't!!!!!!

I know that either way the timing is off, Micheal was only supposed to have been in Section for nine years by IRP. I also thought that Elena "latched" onto Nikita very quickly. ( I have used that description a hundred times ) Elena seemed a little lonely, maybe without any close friends or family she hoped Nikita would become a permanent confidante. Elena and Micheal had a beautiful home, but it looked somewhat isolated.

After all, she was a true innocent, only brought into it by an accident of genetics. I liked everything about these shows in terms of performances and writing. I just felt really sorry for Elena at the end, her seeing both her father and husband die at the same time. I just hope she didn't end up in a mental ward.

I was suprised to get more, " Why aren't you married," from men. Other women totally understand. I also think Micheal was putting on an act with Vachek. I believe his beside behavior with Elena was genuine, but he was in mission mode with her father. Micheal is a very effective valentine op. But the ep. Obsessed showed that he didn't enjoy the way he was forced to treat women. He even apologised to Andrea. Micheal had a longer association with Elena and he was compassionate, guilt ridden and caring, but unless you're inexperienced, compassion plus guilt doesn't equal love.

For now at least, i'm happy just the way I am and I just wish people would see that and let me be Of course...silly me...thinking I know best what is best for me... Anansiimoj-- Well...I don't know...my mom annoys me the most, because she's the only person in the world I expect to understand me and when I explain something and she keeps going on with her ideas...I kinda get disappointed And in general...women ask me about that here...but men too...I didn't think about it much...I guess it's an equal percentage. Thank God that at least my best friends just accept& love me the way I am and don't get on my nerves the other aquaintances...let's just say that I need to leave my glock at home, not to be tempted to use it
