While I'm still hopeful that I'll finally catch up with these discussions, I'm pretty sure I won't be at the computer at the designated time for this one. With S3 being my favorite season, though, I think it's safe to assume it won't be long until I'm commenting again with all of you. In the meantime, feel free to get the ball rolling on one of the most shocking episodes in LFN's history.

I didn't wanna be first, here goes: I used to buy the TV guide...to see what will happen next on LFN and it said something like: "Nikita is back and she will find something about Michael's family". Naturally I was all
I HATED both Elena and ADam. I thought Elena was ugly( the opinion has now changed, but I'm sure you must understand my initial reaction)I know Michael was probably ordered to go home and "park" Nikita on that mission...taking out those guys and just being too good for Ops and Maddy... You GO girl!!!!! Ops& Maddy And now...let's get back to business: this episode must have been shocking for EVERYONE: We were shocked almost as much as Nikita when we saw the wife & kid...Michael was shocked to see her on his doorstep...and I'm sure Elena was shocked too. It's not likely that Michael had ANY "relatives" come to visit ) Poor girl...she thought she could be relieved...little did she know... Michael's look, new hair, clothes I absolutely LOVE it!!!! And he and Adam look SO cute together... Michael on a motorcycle-- I should add this here too: I LOVE Michael on a motorcycle just as much as KG loves him running on stairs Now...I think that the marriage plotline...was the best thing TPTB could've come up with, to explain Michael's coldness towards Nikita in S1&2. I don't LIKE it, but...I must agree it's the most plausible thing. And I was SO relieved that it was JUST a mission...whew!! Of course, Michael helping Nikita and saving her life AGAIN ... Brilliant. Ops& Maddy wouldn't stand a chance against our team composed of M&N Even so...even if I've seen this ep quite a few times by now...I must admit I still hold my breath when that rocket is launched and both Nikita and Michael think she is going to die... Awwww... ![]() |

Pattyko -- I'm sooooooooo glad I wasn't online during s2! I've heard that there was a leak and people found out about the "wife and kid" storyline back then!
I have a difficult time imagining s1 or s2 Michael living with Elena and Adam for some reason. The s3 Michael LOOKS like a businessman-husband. Anyway, I digress...Quote: Quote:I agree. It completely fits with everything that came before...whether TPTB intended for it to or not! Quote:That is one VERY intense scene! ![]() GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! A really good hour, suspenseful and well-written.
If I could find Elena and ask her to marry me I would. She is absolutely the kinda woman that makes me go "ooooo". I'm listening to the commentary again as I type, and it's neat to see how friendly and happy Robert Eugene Glazer is compared to Operations. Highlights: As ya'll said, the tension at the end, and the decision that the Adrian story wasn't just forgotten at the opening of the season, particularly meeting George and his very abrupt "Mess with me and you'll WISH you could just be cancelled" meeting with em. I also like how Maddy and Ops decided just to let it go at the end. It felt very in-character for them. The action sequence at the opening in the Chinese building. As Cassar points out, there's tons of money there, but N doesn't care, doesn't try to peel off any for herself. Lowpoints: Only one, poor Maddy's hair. The short birdlike do didn't work, and it makes look like she has altogether too much neck. Was that related to Alberta's cancer treatment somehow? |

Re: LFN on DVD: Looking for Michael

Pattyko - I'm sure section arranged for some bogus relatives of Micheal to show up or contact him from time to time, unless they billed him to Elena as an orphan.
KG- Maybe you had a hard time seeing S1 and S2 Micheal as married because with the exception of the ep. Noise, it always seemed that Micheal was the one living in Section. In fact until Noise, I wondered if Micheal had a bunk down from Operations. I didn't know about Alberta's condition when I first saw this ep. so my jaw did drop when I saw her. Then it dropped a minute later when I saw Eugene's platinum color. I regained some composure until finding out about Micheal's family, and then since my jaw was still on the floor, Roy's new hair do just went over my head. Regarding Adam, I was a fan of a show called the Pretender right before I began watching LFN. There were several parallels between the two shows. In the Pretender, there was a sinister organization called the Centre which routinely impregnated women to later abscond with their children. I remember thinking that it was just as probable that Section would do the same thing to Elena without her knowledge to move up their timetable if Micheal couldn't get around her reluctance to initiate a search for her father or a pregnancy wasn't happening fast enough the old fashioned way. |

Quote:Actually, I was speaking more about his physical appearance than how much time he spent in Section. Quote:I didn't know about her illness, either...but when I read about it on the boards, it immediately clicked that she'd worn some hairstyles in s2 that looked like they could have been wigs and it all came together. While watching the series, I'd just assumed she wanted a more severe look to go along with the character's more severe personality in the later seasons. Since I'd already seen the credits, I knew it was coming. It was still surprising...just because it was a totally radical look for Michael! It look me YEARS to get used to it and eventually decide that I really LIKED the look! ![]() GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! I have command. ![]() NIKITA: "You're going to kill me?" Re: LFN on DVD: Looking for Michael

No doubt, one of the most shocking moments in television history (or at least on LFN
I really liked how Nikita "worked" Ferrera. That two-faced jerk got just what he deserved. The look on his face when Michael kicked him to the floor....Classic! You can feel Michael's tension building in this eppy from the time Nikita comes to his door. The entire hour, the fans are left wondering in the back of their minds just what the deal is with Elana and Adam. And Michael seems not only worried about Nikita's safety (ofcourse ) but also must be thinking about how he's gonna explain this one! Although, even at this point, I felt bad for Adam. Section allowing a child to come into this mission That's just wrong, and wasn't really necessary. Michael could play the "happily married couple" routine with Elana, and choose not to have children. (avoiding spoilers here: Section still had a way to complete the mission, and it didn't involve Adam in the end.As for the hairstyles, I wasn't that shocked, since I've seen so many eps out of order anyway "It took me four days to find Nikita. That leaves eleven"

KG- You mean the long hair, severe, predatory style Micheal had for S1 and S2 doesn't fit in with the wife and kid in suburbia? I think you're right.
Having a major " duh " moment about the opening credits, but I must not have paid them any attention when I first saw this ep. or I wouldn't have been catching flies with my mouth. I like your suggestions Pattyko, Walter would certainly be everyone's favorite Uncle, but the only one of that group who actually seems like she could be related to Micheal is MADELINE! |

Quote:I think that one came from either RDO or Gene Glazer's website. Quote:Well, I guess they didn't want to put a wig on Roy to recreate the photo or didn't want to computer generate a photo that would look kinda fake? They probably took the photo while filming LFM, when they took all of those photos of Michael and Elena playing in the leaves. Come to think of it, he probably should have had longer hair in those, too, but since there is no set timeframe for them, it's not as obvious when they were supposedly taken as with the Christmas photo. Still, that's the kind of thing a perfectionist like Roy would have thought about, I would have thought. Pattyko -- Quote:Probably because ELENA expected to try it the "old-fashioned" way!
