I'm sad just thinking about GOH!
I'll try to find the strength to watch it soon, so I can contribute something constructive."It took me four days to find Nikita. That leaves eleven"

Elvendaze I had a little heartstop in this one, Not Our Michael would take his life Then it became clear ,he wanted to blow the TV away.I,m glad he didn,t look at the many nights he and Nikita could snuggle with popcorn and watch movies

Well...even if this is such a heartbreaking episode
, it IS one of my favourites: first of all...it has Michael on a motorcycle but even more important, is the episode when Michael finally realizes just HOW important Nikita is for him and doesn't care who else might also know that and he finally finds the reason for waking up in the morning The first part of the episode is so sad and overwhelming...I always have the impression that time just stops or slows down VERY VERY much and the pain Michael shows... reached such an intensity that he almost acts on killing himself... Brrrrrr. Perish the thought. That's just TOO much!! And the way he flinches when he hears that gun shot in Comm doesn't help at all!Of course the atmosphere lightens up a bit when we get to see Michael's bitter sarcasm And...not to mention...the HIGHLIGHT of this episode... Super Mickey to the rescue ON A MOTORCYCLE!!! I know it's a tunt double going under that truck, but still...it's my all time favourite Michael moment ( that along with the chair stunt from HL ) Go Michael, GO!!!! Get your woman back!!I also feel for Nikita in this episode. Must be horrible to see that the one person in the world that means the most to you, whom you love, is in such a tremendous pain, and there's nothing you can do about it,but wait, be there and guard him But I am proud of her! This is a special episode...in which we are proven again, just to what extremes our two spies will go for one another Jessi babe, take a break and breathe deeply And come back soon. You have A LOT to catch up with ![]() |

I think the thing about this arc...and this episode in particular...is that it FINALLY shows us the "real" Michael underneath the "Section" Michael. We'd had glimpses of him before, but we really hadn't seen him in depth. Well, NOW we get to see him without the "blank stare"...he's not hiding ANYTHING!
I LOVED his sarcastic wit! He'd give me a run for my money! So...do people here think Nikita's kidnapping was orchestrated by Operations to get Michael to snap out of it? I find that hard to believe. It doesn't seem plausible that he could orchestrate Nikita being in the exact right place at the exact right time, etc. and so forth. ![]() GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! I have command. ![]() NIKITA: "You're going to kill me?" MICHAEL: "No. I'll shoot you in the leg and carry you back. But, it'll be easier for both of us if you can walk." KG-- Very good question. The truth is... I don't know what to believe. After the conversation in the tag between Ops & Maddy we are lead to believe that he had indeed planned this all along
, but as you said... there had to be too many things to "fit it" as the exact same place& time...and too many things that could have gone wrong. I too, tend to believe that he just took advantage of the situation and I agree that he was being transparent when he told Birky to write her off. As far as I know...operatives don't hear what Ops tells Birkoff and him "assesing" the situation like that...Operations: Nikita might be dead in 12 hours. Birkoff: Its the best we can do. Even then, our chance of success is less than 30 percent. But I don't really have another argument for that, it's just how it all seems to me ![]() |

Patty -
Quote: I'm with you here!! That's the best part of the ep. I really liked seeing what was beneath Michael's cold exterior in this ep. He really does have VERY strong emotions, and after hiding those emotions inside for so long, he finally reached a breaking point, and they exploded! We get to see his passion, for Adam and for Nikita. kg - I agree. I don't think Ops had profiled for Nikita to be captured, but definitely took advantage of the situation. And it worked. We got michael back in full force, better than ever, because now he's not hiding his love for Nikita! "It took me four days to find Nikita. That leaves eleven"

WOW, I was beginning to think NJ was on Mandatory Refusal.
I do miss your comments. I accidently posted this on the wrong thread. Ops and Madeline's conversation indicated that Ops had profiled Nikita's capture. At first I thought that it might be a continuity error similar to the one in OH when the terrorist goes into the bus depot as an evasion tactic, but Micheal later negates that posssibility to Ops. There were alot of factors that seemed to be out of Ops control but, Micheal had already be mentally absent from his missions, it didn't take a stretch to suppose that Nikita would try to cover for him by leading the mission. That would necessarily put her out in front to get caught. Ofcourse, Ops would have to assume that they would capture her instead of killing her, alright I'm still not sure. |

JESSI -- Hey, babe! anansiimoj -- Quote:I'm going on memory here. Couldn't that conversation have been referring to his using the situation to his advantage and not that he had actually profiled the kidnapping? Did they actually SAY that he did it? I didn't think so...I thought it was more vague than that. I know she said he "took a risk," which was true in either case. ![]() GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! This ep. gets my vote for best outtake. Gene Glazer giving " Birkoff " the finger after he strolls in and retrieves that whatchamacalit Walter and Birkoff tried to blackmail him with.
Where were their brains? They should have given it to Nikita since Micheal wasn't in the proper frame of mind to take advantage of it. A blind man saw Operations bluff coming a mile away. |

Every time I watch this episode, right before Nikita gets captured. She asks Michael should they attack, and she asks him twice. He just says why not. It cracks me up every time I hear that line.
