Posts: 11666 (07/24/05 15:54:03) Hopeless Romantic Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None When I first saw this episode, I remember being shocked at Andrea's hair, but now it doesn't seem so out of the ordinary. In any case, I loved the chance to see Roy's RL love, Celine Bonnier, in action with him. And it figures that Section would have M seducing Andrea to see what she's really made of. What I find most interesting about this episode is how understanding N is of M. Even when he's been apparently romancing someone else, N is still trying to figure out what he is up to. She's sympathetic to his loss of Simone and gets to some extent why he might be afraid to get close again. Andrea may think N is making excuses for M, but I think N is really trying to see into who M really is. I absolutely adore the music in this one. It's so dreamy and hypnotic that it goes with the whole seduction routine by M. One minute, he's suave and the next he is so cold. That conversation he has with Andrea about loving N. Wow! Posts: 0 (07/24/05 16:43:58) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	JESSI -- Did you KNOW that Celine Bonnier was Roy's real life girlfriend when you first watched this episode? I didn't have a clue! This has never been one of my favorites. I never liked that Michael was seducing another woman right in front of Nikita, even though we find out that he was assigned to do so. Knowing Michael, you kinda figure out that he HAD to have an ulterior motive, but you wonder what it is. I REALLY didn't like that bedroom scene originally...I got a major "ick" vibe off of it. And I like it even LESS knowing that Roy and Celine are a couple! I feel like I'm watching Roy and Celine and not Michael and Andrea. It makes me cringe every time I see it! The strange thing is that I've seen them act together in "Million Dollar Babies," "The Last Chapter" and "Monica La Mitraille" and I have NO PROBLEM with seeing them together as an on-screen couple! There is just something about THIS episode and THIS couple that doesn't work for me! Weird, huh? $:\$ GOTTA HAVE MICHAEL'S JOYSTICK! I have command. NIKITA: "You're going to kill me?" She's not bad-looking, just different. The main thing I didn't really understand about the episode is why Section would go to all this trouble. If they didn't like her, why not leave Andrea at the Asian section, rather than bring her here and screw with her mind like that? Without a clear motivation, while the show had some good performances, and I liked some of the action, it was muddled.

BTW KG, ITA & relate with everything you said in your post, so I won't add anything!! So thank you for clarifying for me! Posts: 239 (07/24/05 22:28:56) Comm Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	When Michael wearing his mission ponytail strutted into the building with Nikita and Andrea following him and he shot the security guard,my goodness I thought to myself that is the sexiest,coolest,most bada$$ man I have ever seen! Another scene I really like is when Michael is trapped and he tells Nikita "we need a heartbeat" I loved the way she looks at him,you can see it written on her face how much she really cares about him. This is actually an alright episode,one that I don't mind rewatching from time to time. There sure must be alot of gossipers in Section because a lot of people sure do know about M and N's relationship. Nikita:"Do I have to love,honor, and obey?" Michael:"Just obey." Michael and Nikita Against All Odds.

This was way beyond the call of duty, just to get to her personal files. being seduce and rejected so cold would give many people that idea , Maybe not all the way I,ve had a few I would,ve loved to lock in a failsafe. The best part was N talk with Walter, I,m sure it help him make his choice to help section. what a way to bribe someone, Kill your woman, then give her back in a hologram . I,m sure Patty you got a big thrill of how N saved her Man in the end.

Posts: 0 (07/25/05 13:03:09) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Though I obviously don't always like or agree with Madeline's motives, her intelligence and intuition are usually superb, so where the hell was her brain in this ep. I could have told her that using a holographic duplicate of Belinda to elicit genuine feelings of intimacy in Walter, would only piss him off. And why try to imply that Micheal and Andrea had any kind of fututre to Nikita? Yes, I realize Maddy used to opportunity to try and push Nikita further away from Micheal, like Micheal wasn't doing a good enough job of that by himself, but as soon as the Valentine was done it's not as if Micheal was going to continue to pursue Andrea. That particular valentine op was too short term to be any serious threat to Micheal and Nikita's feelings for each other. I think that Madeline inadvertantly gained Walter's cooperation by allowing Nikita the knowledge that Walter was under scrutiny. I do not think Madeline questioned Nikita about Walter with an eye towards using Nikita to effect a change of heart in Walter which in the end is probably what helped. Strangely enough however, I believe that Madeline WAS being honest with Nikita when she told Nikita that her gift allowed her to accomplish incredible things but could also destroy her, or something to that effect. She seemed slightly disappointed when Nikita didn't respond to those compassionate words, but perhaps she shouldn't have prefaced them with that head trip. I complain about the scene, but I enjoy the complexity it reveals ( to me ) about Madeline and Nikita's realtionship. Another thing, I agree with Pattyko that Nikita's face reflected her concern for Micheal beautifully, but using that tech to open the door shouldn't have worked. The writers kind of screwed up. A heartbeat ID isn't like a brain wave imprint which is specific and unique. In addition, that tech was losing blood from when Micheal shot him, his heartbeat shouldn't have been stable enough to register the same pattern as it did when he was healthy. And why did Micheal turn his back and walk away from Nikita when she asked him what he was going to do about Andrea, surely by then he could have at least told her that Section would handle it. I don't usually comment about the physical characteristics of a given actor or actress, but the first time I saw Celine Bonnier in this ep., I was like " Whoa Baby! Tone it Down!"

I just wish Michael, as Nikita's mentor, friend, confidant, lover.....etc had been able to give Nikita a heads-up on the whole Andrea thing..."Hey, listen, I gotta romance this chick for a few days." But Nikita handled it very well, especially in the beginning when Michael first started hitting on Andrea. Nikita seemed to know it wasn't genuine, and to stay out of it. She didn't even make any comments to Michael about it. Big girl! And for the record, I didn't even pay attention to the credits. I had no idea Celine played Andrea. I've seen pics of her, but not looking like that! "It took me four days to find Nikita. That leaves eleven" We want you at The Briefing Room's LFN S2 DVD discussions

It looked to me like the technician had to breathe into the panel and this was somehow recognized by the system. I've seen this before in bad movies - another weakness of mine, cheesy B rate science fiction movies.

Then I found out it wasn't, and realized, they really don't look anything alike. I think it's hilarious when Michael is SSOOO cold to her after they have that night together. And she tries to be outgoing to talk to HIM, and he just blows her off. Crazy. hhmm..... Wonder if Michael was ever a Valentine's Op, cuz the ladies seem to go crazy for him. I never realized that that's Roy's actual girlfriend.
