Back in the 90s, Marla Ginsburg was the head of international TV co-production at Gaumont (in Paris) and she was originally responsible for developing the series La Femme Nikita. Chris Heyn in his book Inside Section One pays tribute to the role she played in what became LFN. A recent article from the New York Times tells us what she has been doing since switching from television to fashion:

I just saw that Patrick Swayze passed away yesterday, 9-14-09. I liked his movies a lot and he seemed to be a nice person in his interviews. That is really sad.

RIP, buddy. And thanks for all the great movies you gave us.

Jon Cassar and "Fringe"

Here's an article from Gord Lacey at TV Shows on DVD about the "Fringe" DVD launch he attended on August 31, 2009. He mentions that Jon Cassar was directing an episode that week. I had no idea and mentioned my interest in "Fringe" in the "Shows Like LFN? " thread here on the board. It's an enjoyable, although flawed series.
